
Playoffs sets as Rockies fall at home

The Casper Rockies lost on Tuesday night 7-4 to Idaho Falls at Mike Lansing Field. The loss dropped Casper to 16-20 in the second half and coupled with Orem's win over Ogden eliminated Casper from the post-season.
The Rockies still have two games remaining versus the Ogden Raptors to close out the season.
During the 7-4 loss to the Chukars, Casper's Ramon Rodriguez hit his first home run of the season, one of two hits for the Rockies catcher. Eric Young Jr. and Corey Wimberly also had two hits but the Rockies left eight men on bases on the night, all eight were in scoring position. Cole Garner also added a 2-run double in the contest.
Starter Xavier Cedeno took the loss, falling to 1-3 on the year. Chukars starter Bennett Cromer was stellar, working six innings and striking out nine. Cody Harkcom closed the game with his second save, working the game's final three innings.
1st round pick Chaz Roe starts for the Rockies in the team's second to last game of 2005. 7:05 is the game's first pitch.
