Wichita Wild News Release
The Wichita Wild wrap up their 2010 regular season home schedule on Saturday as the Sioux City Bandits come to town for their first ever visit to Hartman Arena. The Wild stand at 8-4 and have clinched their second consecutive playoff berth. The Bandits (4-8) are mathematically still alive and could finish in a tie for the final playoff spot in the United Conference. Kickoff for the game is set for 7:05 PM.
Wichita and Sioux City have split two earlier meetings this season in Sioux City. The Bandits won by a score of 48-47 on May 1, while the Wild won 53-44 on May 15. The Bandits have added former University of New Mexico quarterback, Donovan Porterie, to lead the offense. The Sioux City offense currently ranks 15th in the league averaging 40.5 points per game.
Wichita enters the game after falling to Green Bay on the road last week. In that game, Wild quarterback Dixie Wooten set a franchise record for most pass competitions in a game with 23. With a win over Sioux City, the Wild will be in a position to clinch a home playoff game. Wichita travels to Omaha next week, where final playoff seeding will be determined.
Tickets for the game start at just $5 and can be purchased at the Hartman Arena Box Office in Park City or by calling the box office at 316-927-3999. Fans can also purchase tickets online at www.stage1tickets.com. The game can also be heard LIVE on 1330-AM KNSS or www.knssradio.com
