Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm is pleased to announce that Lorenzo Brown has signed to join the team for the 2010 season.
The 6' quarterback led USF to their second consecutive NAIA National Championship in 2009 and capped a perfect 15-0 season that gave the two-year starter a 29-0 record as a Cougar. On his way to receiving the 2009 NAIA Player of the Year award, GPAC Offensive Player of the Year and 1st Team All American honors, Brown threw for 3,221 yards and 40 touchdowns to only 6 interceptions.
"We are very excited to have Lorenzo's character, athleticism and winning tradition joining the Sioux Falls Storm," said Storm Head Couch, Kurtiss Riggs.
In 2009, Brown completed 68% of his passes and led the NAIA with a 190.5 pass efficiency rating. On the ground he was the Cougars' second leading rusher with 844 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, averaging 6 yards per carry. Brown, who led the NAIA with 56 total touchdowns, was recently named to College Fanz's NAIA All-Decade Team.
