Joliet JackHammers News Release
KANSAS CITY, KS - The rain would not go away Friday night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark as play was finally suspended with the Joliet JackHammers (2-0) leading the Kansas City T-Bones (2-0) 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth. Game three of the Opening Round series will continue Saturday at 5:35 p.m. with game four, if necessary, 30 minutes after the conclusion of game three. The second game would be a full nine innings should the JackHammers win game three.
The JackHammers took their first lead in the series in the top of the first against Reid Santos. Jonathan Wyatt started the game with a double and scored on a deep home run by Brad Correll for the early cushion.
Todd Privett was cruising, allowing only a single and a walk before the rain shortened his outing. Privett walked Ray Sadler with two outs and nobody on in the fourth when play was suspended.
Coverage tomorrow will begin at 5:25 p.m. with the pre-game show on 1340 WJOL.
