Plante, Duco At TC Hooligans In Webster Tonight For Kids Night

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans goaltender Tyler Plante and forward Michael Duco will appear at the TC Hooligans in Webster (809 Ridge Rd) tonight from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The Amerks and Knighthawks are sponsoring Kids Night at the restaurant this season. Children ages 10 and under can eat free at Hooligans.

Plante, in his second between the pipes for the Amerks, boasts a 5-10-1 record with a 3.25 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage in 19 games. The 21-year-old netminder was the Florida Panthers' second-round selection (32nd overall) in the 2005 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

Duco, currently in his rookie season with Rochester, has 28 points (14+14) and has a team-high 147 penalty minutes in 68 games. He currently ranks sixth on the team in scoring. The first-year pro signed with the Florida Panthers as a free agent in October 2007.

After claiming just two out of a possible six points this past weekend to kickoff the final month of play, the Amerks will conclude their 2008-09 AHL season this weekend with three games in four nights, all of which are against North Division opponents.

Rochester enters the home stretch on Wednesday, April 8th as it travels north of the border for a North Division showdown with the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum. The 7:30 p.m. contest will be the eighth and final meeting of the season between the two teams and will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live.
