
Plagued By Injuries: Wranglers Fall to Nebraska Danger

ALLEN, TX-The bus to Grand Islands, NE was missing a few familiar faces when the Allen Wranglers departed last Thursday night.
Several core members of the Wranglers squad sat this road trip out, plagued by broken wrists, chicken pox and concussions. Despite a strong performance by the Wranglers, the team fell to the Nebraska Danger by a score of 37-60.
"We may have lost on the field," running back Aaron Mason said. "But we overcame adversity and tonight we won as brothers."
Mason ended the night with four touchdowns, including a 52-yard kickoff return for a six points. He led the team in rushing with 48 yards and ranked second in receiving with the same number, following Jason Jones' 72 yards. Place kicker Garrett Courtney also added to his field goal percentage and extended his lead as top kicker in the league. With the loss, the Wranglers move to 4-3 on the season.
Allen returns to action on Saturday, Apr. 23rd in non-divisional action against the Wichita Wild at 7:05 p.m. The team will host an Easter egg hunt in the Village at Allen at 3 p.m. and honor cancer survivors with a balloon release ceremony at 5 p.m. at Allen Event Center prior to kickoff.
