Richmond, VA: Week 9 for the Indoor Football League was full of strong competitions where League Leaders showed off the power of their defense to defeat the competition.

The Indoor Football League began Week 9 with the La Crosse Spartans stopping by the Sioux Falls Storm hoping to serve the Storm their first loss of the season. However, the Storm began dominating the entire game. In the first half, the Storm defense was able to hold the Spartans to just a field goal while the Storm offense was able to score 35 points. The Spartans went into halftime hoping to recuperate from the first half; however, the Storm came out strong in the second half as well scoring 21 points in the third and the fourth quarter and only allowing the Spartans to get a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Spartans had very bright spots in their game: 156 Kickoff Return yards, 131 rushing yards; however, it was not enough to overcome the defense of the Storm, which stunted any Spartan progress. The Storm was able to close the game out with a score of 77-10.

The second game for this past week was between the Reading Express and Green Bay Blizzard. The first quarter started out slow with the Blizzard only scoring 6 points while the Express remained scoreless.
