Pittsfield Suns Release 2013 Schedule

PITTSFIELD, MA (January 16, 2013) - The Pittsfield Suns, a member of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, are pleased to present their 2013 schedule (attached).
The Suns will begin their 2013 campaign when they host the Torrington Titans on June 6 th 2013 at 7PM. Gates will open an hour prior to first pitch, with fireworks after the game. The Suns will play 27 home games at Wahconah Park, and will serve as host for the second annual FCBL All Star game. As they demonstrated in last year's inaugural season, the Suns brand of affordable family entertainment with a distinctive flair remains the primary focus of each Suns event, and should delight fans of Pittsfield and the Berkshires once again.
Pittsfield Suns General Manager Kevin McGuire added, "As we look to build on the success of our first year, we have many exciting ideas and promotions for our fans that we will roll out in the near future. Rest assured, the sights and sounds, excitement and energy that you experienced in Wahconah Park last year will only get better in 2013. June 6th can't come soon enough!".
The Suns are pleased to announce that Wahconah Park has been selected to host the 2013 FCBL All-Star game on July 25 th . "We are thrilled to be hosting the 2013 FCBL All-Star Game. We pushed very hard to bring the All-Star Game to Pittsfield in our continued efforts to deliver consistent high quality baseball to the Berkshires. With all of the leagues top talent descending on Pittsfield for the game and surrounding activities, I'm confident this will be one of this summer's signature events." McGuire said.
In addition to fireworks following Opening Night and the All-Star Game, Wahconah Park will display fireworks on 6/14, 7/4, 7/19, 8/2, and 8/8.
Season tickets for the 2013 season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Suns office at (413) 445-SUNS. The Suns offices will remain open throughout the winter at Wahconah Park.
