Pittsfield Suns Offense Too Much for Torrington

The Pittsfield Suns (24-18) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Torrington Titans (24-20), recording a 10-3 victory on Sunday at Fuessenich Park.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Pittsfield Suns to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Dan Palazzo in the first inning and a two-run error, an RBI single by Dan Cellucci, a double by Tyler Bell,, and a double by Palazzo during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Pittsfield Suns.

Paul Cotler racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the sixth inning.

RJ Going had two extra-base hits for the Torrington Titans. He doubled in the third and eighth innings.

Jamin McCann improved to 7-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pittsfield Suns. He allowed three runs over six innings. McCann struck out one, walked two and gave up five hits.

Zachary LaRosa (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
