Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Pittsfield Suns (9-9) outscored the Worcester Bravehearts (11-5) 11-8.
The teams totaled 22 hits in the game.
It was a good day at the plate for the Pittsfield Suns' Brian Moskey. Moskey went 3-4, drove in one and scored four runs. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Mike Coggeshall racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Worcester Bravehearts. He doubled in the third inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.
Kevin Hassett got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Kevin Stone couldn't get it done on the bump for the Worcester Bravehearts, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
