Open Tryouts will be Held on Sunday, October 7, 2007, at Belle Vernon Area High School in Belle Vernon, PA from 12:00-4:00 PM. The Pittsburgh RiverRats, a professional Indoor Football team, are coming off a successful winning season which included qualifying for the AIFA playoffs in its first season as a new franchise. The RiverRats were led by Head Coach Shawn Liotta in 2007, and he returns to the RiverRats with the intention of leading the team in its march towards the League Championship in 2008.
Players attending the tryout will be tested in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, broad jump, and individual position skill/agility sessions. Coach Liotta and his staff will be conducting the tryout, and may sign deserving players to contracts for the 2008 AIFA season immediately following the tryout.
Cost to participate in the tryout camp is $65
Discounted to $50 if preregistered and paid prior to date of camp
Payable in cash, money order, or Visa/Mastercard (no personal checks)
Tryout Date #1: Sunday, October 7, 2007
Registration begins at 12:00 PM
Tryout Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Location: Belle Vernon Area High School Stadium, Belle Vernon, PA
Tryouts are open to any athlete over 18 years old, that is serious about pursuing a professional football career. Players are asked to contact Coach Liotta prior to attending the camp. All players should bring:Shoes for indoor and outdoor surfaces (spikes and running shoes). Steel cleats are not allowed.Socks, Shorts, T-shirtWater (no other beverages are allowed at the school)No gum, seeds, chewing tobacco, or cigarettes are allowed on the school's premises.
