Pirri Selected to Canada's World Junior Camp

Rockford, Ill.-Rockford IceHogs center Brandon Pirri was among the 39 players selected to attend Hockey Canada's evaluation camp, which starts Dec. 12 in Toronto.

The 59th overall pick in 2009 by the Chicago Blackhawks, Pirri has four goals and four assists for the IceHogs, and appeared in one NHL game with the Blackhawks on Oct. 9 against Detroit.

The final roster will be named on Dec. 15. The 2011 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played in Buffalo, New York, starting Dec. 26.
