
Pirates Revamp Sales and Marketing Staff

PORTLAND, ME â The Portland Pirates today announced the addition of Mark Bolduc and Kiersten Scarpati as members of its full-time staff effective immediately. Bolduc will assume the newly created position of Vice President, Sales and Scarpati will become the Pirates' new Director, Marketing.
"We are excited to make such significant additions to our staff," said Brian Petrovek, Pirates' Managing Owner/CEO. "Mark's years of sales experience and success with the Providence Bruins organization will be a real bonus, as will Kiersten's client servicing and event planning experience. Both individuals will bring a new level of professionalism and energy to our business."
Mark Bolduc, 30, will manage the sales of season and group tickets and will also be responsible for expanding the Pirates' corporate sponsorship business. Bolduc, a Portland native, most recently worked for Viacom at Infinity Sports Broadcasting in Boston, and brings seven years of sales experience to the Pirates. Mark has worked with the Providence Bruins, New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins in various sales capacities. He graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in Communications.
Kiersten Scarpati, 28, joins the organization after several years of experience in marketing, client servicing and event management. As Director, Marketing, she will implement strategies for consumer products as well as apply her creative services to the Pirates print and electronic media. Scarpati will also oversee game night presentation, the Pirates mascots Salty Pete and Crackers and administer the Crackers Kids Club. She will also assist with the administration of the Portland Pirates Foundation.
Scarpati, originally from Burlington, Connecticut, graduated from Bates College in 1997 and spent four years in New York working for The New Yorker magazine, as a Manager of Promotion & Merchandising. She returned to Maine in 2002 and worked with Catholic Charities Maine at the Jessie Albert Dental Center and most recently as Office & Production Manager at Archi-Tech Magazine in Portland.
