
Pirates Partner With Road Runner Business Class

PORTLAND, ME - The Portland Pirates announced today that they have entered into a two-year agreement with Time Warner Cable of Maine's Road Runner Business Class to provide the team with broadband Internet services. Road Runner Business Class becomes the official host of the Pirates' web site, portlandpirates.com.
"Road Runner is perhaps the best-known broadband Internet provider in Maine today," said Brian Petrovek, Pirates' CEO. "This partnership will keep the Pirates on the cutting edge of Internet technology and allow us to quickly deliver information and e-commerce to our fans in a user friendly way."
As part of the agreement, Road Runner will also provide the Pirates with a dedicated site from which fans can securely order team merchandise. That site, shop.portlandpirates.com, may be accessed by clicking the "Merchandise" button on the Pirates' home page.

The Pirates will begin their eleventh season in the American Hockey League in October 2003.
