WORCESTER, MA. - Terrance Williams, a former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver (2013-18), has signed with the Massachusetts Pirates for the 2021 IFL season. Williams spoke with masspiratesfootball.com and is excited to step into a leadership role.

"I'm going to bring experience and big-play ability to the offense. Getting a chance to play with Martavis Bryant, the quarterbacks, and the rest of the team is good. I'm going to lead by example."

Williams was selected in the third round, 74th overall, of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Cowboys. Following his NFL career, Williams was selected by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2020 XFL Supplemental Draft.

Pirates president and general manager Jawad Yatim also spoke with masspiratesfootball.com and said bringing in Williams had been in the works for some time.

"We were in a position where we were looking for another receiver and had been in communication with Terrance for a few months and the time seemed right for both sides. What excites me the most is Terrance's enthusiasm about the situation. We are happy to have him a part of the family, and look forward to getting to work."

Williams (6'2", 210 lbs.) had a stellar college football career with the Baylor Bears. As a senior in 2012, he was named First-Team All-Big 12 and First-Team All-American. That same season he was named a Biletnikoff Award Finalist. Following his career at Baylor, Williams participated in the 2013 Senior Bowl. He is a native of Dallas, Texas.
