Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release

(Wilkes-Barre, PA) The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are very excited to announce that FB/LB Joe Hollister will be returning for the 2007 season. Hollister is a valuable asset to the Pioneers' Organization both on and off the field.

In his first season in the af2 Hollister played in every game, and rushed the ball 27 times for 46 yards and 8 touchdowns. On defense he recorded a total of 35.5 tackles (19 assisted) and 1.5 sacks for a loss of 13 yards. Off the field Hollister has participated in various community events to help promote the Pioneers in the area and to bring excitement to Pioneers' fans.

"It's great to have Joe back. He was probably the most consistent player we had last year. He is the type of player that you want to build your team around. A no nonsense guy with great work ethic, toughness and a drive to be the best," said Coach Rich Ingold when asked about Hollister's return to the team.
