Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release

Friday, May 23 vs. Greensboro Prowlers: This could be the tide-turning game the Pioneers need. A win against the accomplished Prowlers would be just what the doctor ordered. Fan Fest*: The May 23rd game vs. the Prowlers is the first game for the Pioneers Summer Fan Fest (5PM-7PM at the East Gate). Beginning two hours before the game the Pioneers offer fans an extraordinary and FREE outdoor event. The Pepsi Fan Zone includes four (4) interactive NFL Experience games straight from the Baltimore Ravens. The band that brought you the Pioneers title song "Brawls Between the Walls" is playing LIVE and there are plenty of discounted food and drink specials -- not to mention opportunities to win Freebies from the Pioneers partnering companies like Pepsi, Old Country Buffet, Pocono Downs and Roto-Rooter. Plus Crockett and the Pony Express Dance Team are on-hand to meet with fans. *Fan Fest is weather permitting -- if it's raining, there will be no Fan Fest. But don't forget, Fan Fest is before the last four games of the season. If it's sunny, come out and start your weekend off right with us at Fan Fest. Friday's Giveaway: This is a giveaway item not to miss! The Pioneers and Pocono Downs have teamed up to offer the first 1,000 fans through the gate a full-color logo umbrella. If you aren't one of the lucky ones to get the umbrella at Friday's game, you can receive one Saturday at the Pocono Downs. On Saturday, the Downs is offering an umbrella with a paid admission (limited supply). The Friday and Saturday umbrellas are different colors -- collect both!!!
