Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
Player News: The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce that defensive specialist Kyle Grove has been offered a contract by the Scottish Claymores of NFL Europe. Grove is the Pioneers leading defensive player thus far in 2003, recording 20.5 tackles, seven pass break-ups, and an interception in four games.
Saturday, May 3: Tonight the Pioneers take on division rivals the Albany Conquest. It's an important game for the Pioneers, a win would prove an ability to compete against all division foes. Here's a division recap so far: Mohegan: Pioneers dominated the game early. The Wolves rebounded in the second half, stealing the lead and the win from the Pioneers with only 1 second remaining in the game. Rochester: The Pioneers dominated the entire game beating Rochester 58-35 last Saturday, April 26th. Albany: To be decided TONIGHT, Saturday, May 3. Plenty of great seats still remain for tonight's game. There will be good seats available at the Arena Box Office when the gates open at 6PM.
