
Pioneers Looking to Continue Win Streak

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers will be on their first road trip to Albany this Friday to take on the Conquest at 7:30 PM at the Pepsi Arena. This will be the first meeting of these two teams since their scrimmage at the end of the Pioneers training camp.
The Pioneers will be looking to improve their record to 3-0 this weekend with a win over Albany. However, the series record is heavily in favor of the Conquest 6-2.
The latest coaches poll shows Wilkes-Barre in 3rd place with 185 points (previously 5th) and Albany not making the top 12.
After week 2, the Pioneers are ranked 1st in scoring offense with 61.5 points a game, 1st in field goals, 1st in sacks by, 2nd in scoring non-kicking with 123 points, 2nd in kick off returns with 28.7 yards/game and 3rd in scoring kicking with 19 points.
The Pioneers won their last game against the Quad City Steamwheelers 64-28. The Pioneers held the Steamwheelers scoreless throughout the entire second half and scored 36 points of their own. Wilkes-Barre handed Quad City their worst loss in franchise history.
Wilkes-Barre will be back at the Wachovia Arena to face the Louisville Fire, Friday, April 22 at 7:30 PM. Group and single game tickets are now on sale.
