Pioneers David Bishop Named Player of the Week

The Pioneers are pleased to announce David Bishop (Mississippi State) was selected to be the first PGCBL player of the week. Bishop from Mobile, Alabama leads the league in homeruns and is third in the league with a batting average of .375. He has scored seven runs, an stroked in three doubles. He has a slugging percentage of .875 and a .464 on base-percentage.
The Elmira Pioneers return action at Dunn Field tonight June 21st to take on the Amsterdam Mohawks. The Pioneers will conclude their two game series on Wednesday June 22nd. After an off day the Pioneers are home Friday and Saturday against the Watertown Wizards. Both Friday and Saturday will feature "Lucky Fan" giveaways, which include an HD TV, a DVD player, gift certificates and more.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for all Pioneers games at the team's exclusive retail ticket outlet Jubilee Foods, located at 2898 Westinghouse Road in Horseheads.
