Pioneers Announce 2003 Opponents

Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce the team's 2003 home and away opponents have been approved by the af2.
"We're ecstatic the 2003 schedule is close to being finalized," said Pioneers General Manager Rick Sneed. "We've got our division opponents three times each, plus some intriguing match-ups beyond the northeast. Overall, everyone is pretty excited," he added.
The Pioneers season will begin with a road game the weekend of April 6 against the Greensboro Prowlers. The 2003 home opener will take place the following weekend against the Mohegan Wolves.
Aside from division games against Mohegan, the Albany Conquest, and the Rochester Brigade, the Pioneers will face Greensboro, the Richmond Speed, the Norfolk Nighthawks, and the 2000/2001 Arena Cup Champion Quad City Steamwheelers.
