'Pink the Rink' Jerseys to Be Auctioned

January 30, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Utica Comets News Release

The Utica Comets will be wearing specially designed jerseys for their game on Friday night as part of their inaugural "Pink the Rink" to raise money and promote breast cancer awareness. The game-worn jerseys will then immediately be auctioned off following the game and proceeds will be donated to the Breast Care Center at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare.

At the conclusion of the game, fans that would like to participate in the live auction are asked to move to either Section 105 or 205. Bids will only be accepted from fans seated in these sections. Fans that would like to watch the auction are asked to take a seat outside of those sections.

Each Comets player will return to the ice following the game as their jersey is auctioned off. The winning bidder will be invited down onto the ice to collect their jersey and take a photo with the player.

Winning bidders can pay via cash, credit card or checks payable to "˜Save of the Day' Foundation.

Each fan in attendance on Friday will also receive a pink rally towel courtesy of Mohawk Valley Association of Realtors and the first 1,000 women through the doors will be given a pink carnation courtesy of Clinton Florists and Empire Flower Supply.  The event is also Mix 102.5 Night presented by GPO Federal Credit Union.
