
Pilots Announce 2016 Schedule

Hampton, Va. - The Peninsula Pilots baseball team has released their 2016 summer schedule, as announced by the Coastal Plain League. The Pilots will play a 56 game regular season schedule with 28 of those games to be played at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton. Hampton's hometown team will play their home opener against East Division rival Edenton Steamers on Wednesday, June 1 at 7:05pm. Season tickets and flex plans will go on sale the week of Thanksgiving. That week fans will have the opportunity to take advantage of Black Friday sales on these tickets. The Pilots are coming off a 2015 campaign where they compiled a 28-25 record and lost in the first round of the Coastal Plain League playoffs to the Wilmington Sharks. The 2016 schedule consists of a flurry of weekend games including five Friday night games, five Saturday night games and three Sunday night games. The boys of summer will also play 6 games on Thursday nights featuring $1 beverages of all kinds. The Pilots will play 48 of their games against East Division opponents Edenton, Fayetteville, Holly Springs, Morehead City, Peterburg, Wilmington, and Wilson, half at home and half on the road. The schedule will also feature 8 games against West Division foes Asheboro, Florence, Forest City, Gastonia, High Point-Thomasville, and Martinsville.
