Medford Rogues News Release
MEDFORD, Ore. - Shortstop Chad Pike (Daytona State College) popped a two-run home run in the seventh inning to power the Rogues past the Gems, the final score 5-2.
A two-RBI double by catcher Cole Elvis (UC-Berkeley, 2019) in the sixth put the Rogues ahead for good, and then reliever Robby Ahlstrom (Chemeketa CC) picked up his second save of the year.
843 fans were on hand for a gorgeous day of baseball at Harry & David Field. After a hot afternoon, the temperature dropped into the mid 70's as the Rogues fought through a perfect three innings by Gems pitcher Brooks Juhasz.
Tomorrow night is Rogue Credit Union night! All Rogue Credit Union members get in for FREE with proof of membership. Tomorrow is also the last home game until Friday, June 29th against the Chico Heat, which will be a double-header to make up for the rain out on June 17th.
