
Phoenix Rising FC Signs Six Academy Players Ahead of Tuesday's Match in New Mexico

PHOENIX, AZ - Phoenix Rising FC has signed academy players Zak Smith, Thomas Knight, Kevin Mearse, Luke Schaefer, Blaize Hardy and Jack Baker to USL Academy contracts, pending league and federation approval, the club announced today.
USL Academy contracts allow players to retain their amateur status while also being eligible to play for the first team.
"I'm proud of the work being done by Danny Stone, Andy Chapman and everyone involved with our Academy and Youth Club," said Phoenix Rising GM Bobby Dulle. "These players have proven they are ready for this opportunity. We know they will give everything they have to help our club achieve our goals."
Rising takes on New Mexico United (6 p.m. on Bally Sports Extra) tomorrow at the University of New Mexico Soccer Complex.
Phoenix returns to Wild Horse Pass for its annual Pride Night match on Saturday, June 4 (7:30 p.m.). Tickets for that match are available by calling 623-594-9606.
