March 12, 2014 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release

Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) look for a win on their home field as they host the defending NLL Champion Rochester Knighthawks at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, March 16 at 4 p.m. This is the third and final matchup for Philadelphia and Rochester in the 2014 regular season. Rochester leads the season series 2-0.

Philadelphia has traveled to Rochester in the previous two meetings this season. The Wings dropped both matchups on the road. In their all-time series against the Knighthawks, Philadelphia has struggled against their division rival, holding an overall record of 18-33 against Rochester. In games at Philadelphia, the series has been a little more even as they own an overall record of 12-13 at home against the Knighthawks.

"It's pretty simple, we need to play a full 60 minutes," said Head Coach Blane Harrison. "Our last game was frustrating. We competed for three quarters against one of the top teams [Rochester], but lost momentum in the fourth quarter. We need to be able to close out our games and rely on our top guys to be our best guys down the stretch."

In their last meeting, the Wings faltered in the second half losing to Rochester 13-8. Forwards Jordan Hall and Kevin Crowley paced Philadelphia with multi-goal efforts. Combined, they contributed eight of the team's 20 points (five goals, three assists). Crowley has scored a goal in seven consecutive games and has had six multi-goal games. Hall has fared well this season against his former squad, tallying eight points (five goals, three assists) in two games.

Rochester (7-3) is currently a half game back of Buffalo for first place in the NLL East Division. Knighthawks' Forward Cody Jamieson leads the team in goals and points (23 goals, 54 points). In two games against the Wings this season, Jamieson has tallied 13 points (six goals, seven assists).

The Wings remain at home next week as they battle the Toronto Rock for one of the final remaining spots in the NLL playoffs at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for all Wings 2014 home games are available by phone at 215-389-WING or online at WingsLAX.com.
