Philadelphia Wings Drop Close to One to Rochester 11-8,

The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) dropped a close game 11-8 to the Rochester Knighthawks at Wells Fargo Center Saturday night. Despite falling to Rochester, the Wings remain tied atop the NLL's East Division as Toronto dropped a home game to the Washington Stealth 10-7.

Philadelphia started slow for the second consecutive game, falling behind 4-2 after the first quarter before rallying in the second and third to enter the final period tied 7-7. In the decisive quarter the Wings were unable to get anything going and ultimately lost 11-8.

The Wings were led by forward Dan Dawson who tallied a goal and four assists and rookie Kevin Crowley who contributed five points on three goals and two assists on the night.

Rochester was led by Mike Accursi with a hat trick and four assists.

The Wings will return to Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, March 17 at 7 p.m. versus the Edmonton Rush.
