
Philadelphia Union to Stream Two Upcoming Preseason Games

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union today announced that it will stream two of their next three preseason matches on www.philadelphiaunion.com . The first streamed game is the match vs. Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m. ET from Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex, the Union's preseason home base in Clearwater, FL. The club will also stream their game vs. D.C. United, which is being played at Subaru Park, on Wednesday, March 31 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Per league rules, the stream will be available for fans who live within a 75-mile radius of Subaru Park.
The game vs. D.C. United will be called by long-time Union broadcaster Dave Leno and new Union broadcaster and former Premier League player, Danny Higginbotham. This will be Higginbotham's first appearance on the Union broadcast, after being announced as primary color analyst in December 2020. Higginbotham brings an impressive resume of international experience with Sky Sports, NBC, CBS, and ESPN broadcasting during Premier and Champions League games as well as an extensive playing career to Union game broadcasts.
Following their 2021 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League matches on April 7 and April 14 (broadcast info TBA), Major League Soccer announced that Philadelphia Union will face Columbus Crew SC on the road on Sunday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m. (FS1, Fox Deportes) to open their 2021 MLS campaign and will then host Inter Miami CF at Subaru Park for their home opener on Saturday, April 24 at 8:00 p.m. (PHL17).
