Philadelphia Squires announce tryout camp

Philadelphia, PA. Jeffrey Wilson, GM of the the ABA's Philadelphia Squires professional basketball team, today announced its first tryout camp - Wednesday, July 14 & 15 from 9AM to 3PM each day at St. Mary's Gymnasium on the campus of Villanova University. According to Wilson, "The organization is looking for athletes to fill out an active roster of 10 players before the season opener in November. The Philadelphia area is home to a wealth of basketball talent. We look forward to using our local ties to assemble a highly competitive team of which the fans of Philadelphia will be proud."

The camp is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Interested players should visit the team's website, www.phillysquires.com to print out an application. The application, along with a check or money order for $150. should be postmarked by July 5 to guarantee a spot.
