Philadelphia drops to 2-6 after loss to Wave, 14-8

Philadelphia, PA, December 8, 2007 - The defending MISL Champion Philadelphia KiXX (2-6) fell to the Milwaukee Wave (5-2) at the U.S. Cellular Arena Friday night. Philadelphia took the lead for the first time on a John Barry Nusum goal 35 seconds into the third quarter, but could not stop the Wave attack which scored four unanswered goals to finish the game 14-8.

Three of Philadelphia's four goal scorers recorded their first two-pointers of the season. Wendell Regis, Drew Kopp, and John Barry Nusum all netted their first of the season in the KiXX loss. Tony Donatelli also scored, his sixth in seven games this season. Player/coach Don D'Ambra contributed two assists, bringing his season total to nine, good for first on the team.

Milwaukee was led by 2006-07 All-Rookie selection Marcio Leite and Marcelo Fontana, who each recorded a goal and two assists. Seven different Wave players recorded the seven goals scored. Leite was credited with the game winner. Nick Vorberg stopped six of the nine shots he faced, while the defense blocked nine Philadelphia shots.

Notes: Milwaukee outshot Philadelphia 25-19. David Castellanos missed his fourth straight game with a high ankle sprain.

The KiXX will return home to host the Chicago Storm on Saturday, December 8 at the Wachovia Spectrum. "Christian Night" kicks off at 7:05pm ET, and will feature post game testimonies from Reggie Dabbs and KiXX players.
