Phantoms In Search of First Win against the Legends

The Phantoms are back in action again this weekend at the Florence Civic Center. After a heart-wrenching 47-32 defeat in Huntington ,WV last Friday.

Coach Tavares Bowens (Coach T) though disappointed in the loss to his former head coach Teddy Keaton, was pleased for the most part with his team's performance, "We are always right there, closing games and capitalizing on opponent turnovers is what will help us to get better week by week." The Phantoms were able to tie the game late in the third quarter, but failed to strike the killer blow; allowing the Heroes to win game in the final period.

Our opponent this week are the Canton Legends led by QB Jamie Williams who threw for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns catches to WR Tim Smith in Canton's second loss of the season to the Carolina Speed. The Legends fought hard to comeback from an early deficit, but were unable, as the Speed emerged victorious 38-35. With both teams 0-2 there has to be a victor on March 29th when these to team's face-off in Florence at 7:30p. Tickets are as low as $7, to be part of the 1st win of the 2008 season.
