
Phantoms Re-Sign All Star Defensive Line Duo

The Florence Phantoms are proud to announce the resigning of 2008 AIFA All Stars Leonard" Pac Man" Moore and Cory Groover. Cory Groover played collegiately at Clemson University and has been a two time all star selection in the AIFA. The 6'2 290 pound defensive lineman last year finished with 22 tackles and 9 sacks."Cory is a dominating presence on the defensive line who can play off the edge or in the middle for us" said VP of Operations Bennie King. "The pass rush is an integral part of what we do defensively and both these men allow us to execute our defense we expect great things from them this upcoming season."
Leonard Moore 5'9 225 pounds out of Pikeville College enters his third year in the AIFA and second with the Phantoms. Last year Leonard had 21 tackles and 7 sacks. "Leonard brings great Speed off the edge for us and is a great team player "said King. "He definitely plays bigger then his size indicates and we are happy too have him back".
The Phantoms open the regular season March 7th verse the Carolina Speed at the Florence Civic Center at 7:30.
