CHOP VISIT, TEAM PICTURE ON TUESDAY

The entire Philadelphia Phantoms team, coaching staff and mascot Phlex went room to room and floor to floor at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to visit patients and sign autographs on Tuesday. The Phantoms also be delivered dozens of movies and video games to the kids that the team collected from fans and Comcast-Spectacor employees over the past two weeks. Before they headed over, the Phantoms took their 2004-05 team photo at the Wachovia Spectrum.

TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE ON FRIDAY

The Phantoms and Comcast SportsNet will be collecting toys for needy children throughout the Philadelphia region by teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps for their annual Toys For Tots Drive. Fans are encouraged to bring NEW, unwrapped, non-violent toys to Friday's game at the Wachovia Center against the Hershey Bears. A collection will also take place at the Phantoms-Manchester Monarchs game on Friday, Dec. 17 at the Wachovia Spectrum.

TEAM, UMBERGER TO RECEIVE AHL AWARDS ON FRIDAY

Prior to the puck drop on Friday, AHL President Dave Andrews will present two monthly awards. Andrews will honor the Phantoms for winning the CCM AHL Milestone of the Month award for November for their record 17-game winning streak. Rookie R.J. Umberger will be presented with his Reebok AHL Rookie of the Month award.

COMCAST SPORTSNET TO TELEVISE TWO GAMES THIS WEEKEND

Comcast SportsNet will air its fourth and fifth of 10 Phantoms games this season when the Hershey Bears visit the Wachovia Center on Friday and Philadelphia travels to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to face the Penguins on Saturday. Flyers radio announcer Tim Saunders will handle the play-by-play duties, while Flyers color commentator Steve Coates will provide his insight into the game. Coverage for both games begins at 7:00 p.m. The next telecast takes place on Wednesday, Dec. 29 when the Norfolk Admirals are in Philadelphia.

DEC. 19 IS TRADING CARD NIGHT

The first 2,000 fans in attendance on Sunday, Dec. 19 will receive a 2004-05 Phantoms trading card set, courtesy of Toyota. All 24 current players will be featured, including the first-ever professional cards of Tony Voce, R.J. Umberger and Ben Eager.

PHANTOMS PLAYER CLINIC IN VOORHEES ON WEDNESDAY

Phantoms forwards Ben Stafford and Riley Cote will be instructing the limited travel mite and squirt teams from Voorhees during the third of 10 Phantoms Player Clinics on Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 5:20-6:20 p.m. at the Sovereign Bank Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, N.J. Phantoms Player Clinics are sponsored by Carrabba's Italian Grill.

LITTLE TO JUDGE COMCAST SPORTSNET'S "CASTING CALL" THURSDAY

Phantoms goaltender Neil Little will be among a group of local celebrity judges that will be on hand to select a winner in Comcast SportsNet's "Casting Call" show. Comcast SportsNet and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting are teaming up to offer one lucky aspiring broadcaster a scholarship for one semester at the communications school. The contest takes place at Kildare's Pub located at 4417 Main Street in Manayunk, Pa. Contestants must be over the age of 21 and can register that night from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The contest will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m.

SMITH ON "RUMBLE WITH THE PHANTOMS" THIS WEDNESDAY

Forward Jeff Smith will be the guest on the Phantoms' weekly radio show, "Rumble with the Phantoms," this Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every Wednesday on WNJC (1360 AM). In 19 games this season, Smith has one goal and two assists for three points and 46 penalty minutes.

PHANTOMS POSTGAME SHOW CONTINUES SUNDAY Can't get enough Phantoms action? Then stick around for The Phantoms Postgame Show at Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant on Wednesday, Dec. 1. Hosted by David Unkle of the Topcat Sports Show on WNJC 1360-AM, the Phantoms Postgame Show lets you get up close and personal with your favorite Phantoms player following 24 games throughout the season.
