Phantoms announce tryouts

Florence Phantoms News Release


Florence, SC - Jack Bowman, General Manager for the Florence Phantoms, a franchise of the American Indoor Football League (AIFL), announced today the third of several planned open player tryouts.

The emphasis is on regional play and league rules require a minimum of eight (8) local players on the roster, so everyone has a chance to make the roster. Everybody, from former high school to professional players, who are eighteen (18) years or older, is invited to tryout.

When: Saturday December 3, 2005

Where: The Byrnes Schools

This combine is split into two sessions.

The morning session is for offensive and defensive linemen. These positions will be tested in the 20-yard dash, the 20-yard shuttle run along with one-on-one and bag drills.

Times: Morning Session

Registration 8:30 am - 9:30 am

Warm-Up 9:30 am - 10:00 am

Combine 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The afternoon session is for quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, defensive backs, linebackers and kickers. These positions will be tested in the 40-yard dash, the 20-yard shuttle run, one-on-one drills, position drills and offensive against defensive drills.

Times: Afternoon Session

Registration 11:00 am - 12:00 noon

Warm-Up 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm

Combine 1:00 pm - finished

Cost

PreRegistered $45.00

Day of Event $55.00 (cash only)

You need to bring the following with you: Outdoor cleats, Indoor tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirt and sweat suit (depending on weather). Most of the combine will occur outdoors.
