Adirondack Phantoms News Release

The Adirondack Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced their schedule format for the upcoming 2011-12 season presented by Bud Light. The Phantoms will play 76 games including 38 at home and 38 on the road. Adirondack is playing in the newly former Northeast Division with four other teams and will play 24 of their games within their division.

The Phantoms will also play 32 games against the Eastern Division, 12 games against Atlantic Division teams, and 8 games against opponents from the North Division of the Western Conference.

"The schedule breakdown looks great with some different teams visiting our arena," said Phantoms Executive Vice President Chris Porreca. "Families will get a chance to see some great entertainment all season long at the Glens Falls Civic Center and that is very positive for our region."

The teams Adirondack will see the most are the Albany Devils (10 games), Syracuse Crunch (10 games), Binghamton Senators (8 games) and Norfolk Admirals (8 games).

Last year, the Phantoms and Albany Devils split the heated season series at six games apiece.

The Phantoms and Crunch series wasn't as close in 2010-11. Adirondack won seven out of eight against Syracuse.

Adirondack won the 2010-11 series over the Calder Cup champion Binghamton Senators going 4-3-1.

Along with the Phantoms' 10 games against the Devils, their games in the Northeast Division include six against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, four with the Connecticut Whale and four versus the Springfield Falcons.

Other Eastern Conference opponents include four games each against the Hershey Bears, Manchester Monarchs and Portland Pirates plus two games each versus the Providence Bruins, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Worcester Sharks.

From the Western Conference, the Phantoms will see the Rochester Americans, Hamilton Bulldogs and Toronto Marlies.
