Phantoms Co-GM's Jason Deskins and Ryan Kosecki stated, "First and foremost, we would like to thank Dylan Wegner for his time in Youngstown. We appreciate all of his efforts in his time here and wish him well in Des Moines."

Deskins and Kosecki added, "We are ecstatic to add a player of Tiernan Shoudy's caliber to our program. We are remarkably familiar with his game, and he will be a big-time addition to our team. He is a 200-foot centerman that is hard to play against, is great at the dots, and intelligent in all areas of the game. He brings a high hockey IQ and compete level to our team that will make us better in all situations of the game. Tiernan is a complete hockey player that brings needed leadership and experience to our locker room, and he will be a fan-favorite in Youngstown. We are extremely fortunate to add him to our roster during this playoff push to close out the regular season."
