CEDAR RAPIDS, IA: Cedar Rapids Rampage goalkeeper Brett Petricek and forward Tony Walls were among the players receiving Honorable Mention when the Major Arena Soccer League announced its Team of the Week today for Week 13.
Petricek won two more games last weekend to remain tied for the league lead with 10 wins. He held the defending Newman Cup champion Baltimore Blast to three goals on Friday and helped the Rampage rally from a 5-1 deficit to beat the Syracuse Silver Knights on Saturday. The rookie goalkeeper has been on the Team of the Week twice and this is his third Honorable Mention.
Walls had a hat trick on Saturday and is third on the Rampage with 11 goals in his first season with the team. It was his first league recognition of the season. Walls will travel with the Rampage to face the Milwaukee Wave on Saturday. It will be the first time the former Wave player will play at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena as a member of the visiting team.
