DURHAM, N.C. â Winnipeg outfielder Charles Peterson, the reigning Central Division player of the month, earned the Daktronics Central Division Player of the Week honor for the first week ending Aug. 4.
Peterson, a 28-year-old from Laurens, S.C., went 13-for-26 (.500) during the week with nine extra-base hits, a 1.115 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.

Twenty-six-year-old Allentown catcher Ryan Bordenick, an All-Star, won the Daktronics East Division Player of the Week award. He went 11-for-21 (.524) in six games and hit two homers.

Winnipeg left-hander Bobby Madritsch, 26, earned the Central pitcher of the week award. He held Fargo-Moorhead to one run in 8 2-3 innings on Aug. 1 at Newman Outdoor Field. He allowed two hits, three walks and struck out 15 in the win.

New Jersey right-hander Joel Bennett, the East All-Star Game starting pitcher, shut out and three-hit Adirondack on July 30 at Yogi Berra Stadium. He walked four and struck out seven. Bennett was the East player of the month in June.
