New Orleans VooDoo News Release
NEW ORLEANS (January 23, 2014) - The New Orleans VooDoo is proud to announce that former LSU Quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been assigned to the VooDoo 2014 pre-season roster.
Perriloux (6-3, 210, LSU/Jacksonville State) -- a nationally heralded recruit and USA Today Offensive Player of the Year coming out of East St. John High School in 2005 -- signed with LSU to play quarterback. In 2007, Perriloux started two games for an injured Matt Flynn.
In the SEC Championship game against Tennessee, Perriloux went 20-30 for 243 yards with 1 TD. The win against Tennessee vaulted LSU into the BCS National Championship game against Ohio State.
In 2008, Perriloux transferred to Jacksonville State University and led JSU to an 8-3 season, throwing for 2,199 yards. In 2009, he returned to JSU for his senior season, and was named Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
Perriloux begins his AFL career on the Voodoo 2014 pre-season roster following a year with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. Perriloux also spent time with the New York Giants (NFL), and the Hartford Colonials (UFL).
