New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Metairie, LA - The New Orleans Zephyrs have entered into a five-year agreement with Pepsi Co., making Pepsi the team's official soft drink partner.
Pepsi products, including Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Mountain Dew, Gatorade and Aquafina, will now be available at concession stands throughout Zephyr Field beginning with Opening Night on Thursday, April 3, when fans will get to enjoy the new beverage options for as low as $1 during the first "Thirsty Thursday" promotion of the year.
"The Zephyrs are eager to begin our new partnership with Pepsi," said Zephyrs General Manager Mike Schline. "Both Pepsi and the Zephyrs are committed to getting fans in the seats and providing the best experience possible at the ballpark."
Pepsi and the Zephyrs are looking at several cross-promotional ideas to bring Pepsi customers and Zephyrs fans together. Pepsi will host two "pack the park" dates during the 2014 season, in which it will reach out to all Pepsi customers around the New Orleans region to enjoy a night at Zephyr Field.
"This is an exciting time for the New Orleans Zephyrs franchise and we are looking forward to being a part of the team's bright future while bringing our popular food and beverage brand to Zephyr Field," said Ryan Pelle, Senior Foodservice Manager for PepsiCo's South Region. "We can't wait to get to work with the Zephyrs on joint marketing campaigns, property activation, and bringing Zephyrs fans new and innovative experiences."
