PEPSI hosts Goddesses audition finals at Fremont Street

(Las Vegas, NV,18-Sep-06)- PEPSI will host the Las Vegas Gladiator Goddesses audition finals at the Fremont Street Experience on Sunday, September 24, 2006 from 7-9pm, at the Third Street Stage. The event is free and open to the public.
Over thirty professional dancers have made it through the rigorous preliminary rounds of auditions and hope to win the hearts of the crowd and judges to earn the title of 2006-2007 Las Vegas Gladiator Goddess.
With the popularity of the NFL Channel show "Making the Squad" highlighting the selection process of The San Diego Charger Girls dance team and the CMT feature on the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, there is renewed interest in professional league cheer and dance squads. "We have seen an increase in the number of ladies auditioning as well as a higher caliber of talent attend our auditions," states Goddess Manager Mary Vail.
The Goddesses who perform at all LV Gladiators home games during the AFL season also make appearances and perform throughout the Las Vegas Community. The 2006 Goddesses made over ninety appearances, were highlighted in numerous TV interviews and news articles, were featured in 2 major music videos with Rascal Flats and Kenney Chesney for the ACM Awards on CMT, were sound check girls for legendary, rock icon Paul McCartney and performed for the ArenaBowl XX Halftime show with Third Eye Blind televised on NBC. The 2006 dance troupe also touted their own collector calendar, trading cards and souvenir photo.
The rough and tough Gladiators have a soft and glamorous counterpart known as "The Goddesses", Las Vegas' ONLY Professional Sports Dance Team. On and off the field, this versatile group of sensuous, stunning and talented dancers exemplifies the sexy, energetic, and exhilarating spirit of the Gladiators, the Arena Football League and Las Vegas itself. The Goddesses proudly support Las Vegas and the surrounding community throughout the year by appearing and performing at business, social and sport activities as well as charity events!
