
Peoria's Steve Morra Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - (February 3, 2015) The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Steve Morra of the Peoria Rivermen is the Easton Player of the Week for January 26-February 1.
Morra scored three goals, including one game-winner, added two assists and was +4 as the Rivermen moved into a tie for first place with three consecutive overtime wins.
On Friday, the Bristol, RI native assisted on a second period goal in a 4-3 overtime win over Louisiana. Saturday's rematch saw Morra score one goal and assist on another as Peoria earned another 4-3 overtime win over the IceGators. Against Pensacola on Sunday, Morra scored twice, including the game-winner with 41 seconds remaining in the extra period as the Rivermen earned a 4-3 win over the Ice Flyers.
Morra, who played collegiately at Northeastern University, has 17 points in 17 games with the Rivermen (5g. 12a) and ranks second on the club with a +10 rating.
