Black Hills Red Dogs News Release
The Rapid City Red Dogs of the National Indoor Football League, NIFL, in conjunction with the American Memorial Life Insurance Company, would like to announce the conclusion of this years "Penny Race" fundraiser for Storybook Island. Robbinsdale elementary and Canyon Lake elementary were the two schools that participated this year and were able to raise a total of $2161.34 in pennies to help out with the restoration of Storybook Island. The winning classrooms received tickets to the Saturday May 18th home game, kids meal coupons from Burger King, a brick with their classrooms name added to the Storybook Island walkway, and an invitation to join the Red Dogs team at Storybook Island this Sunday May 19th at 12:30pm as a reward for all their hard work and generosity.
"The entire organization is very proud of the children for their efforts and we hope that the money raised will help to keep Storybook Island here for years to come," said General Manager Jennifer O'Neill.
The Rapid City Red Dogs are in their second season with the NIFL and this week will be their fifth home game of the season Saturday evening Saturday May 18th with a 7:05pm kickoff time. All home games are played at The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and tickets are available at the Civic Center Box Office.
