Penguins Announce Training Camp Roster

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre Penguins have announced their 2012 training camp roster. Thirty-three players will report to training camp, including 19 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goaltenders.
The roster consists of the following players:
Forwards - Beau Bennett, Cody Chupp, Philippe Dupuis, Benn Ferriero, Brian Gibbons, Riley Holzapfel, Tom Kuhnhackl, Denver Manderson, Jayson Megna, Michael Neal, Adam Payerl, Warren Peters, Zach Sill, Trevor Smith, Eric Tangradi, Paul Thompson, Dominik Uher, Keven Veilleux and Scott Zurevinski
Defensemen - Robert Bortuzzo, Simon Despres, Brian Dumoulin, Alex Grant, Reid McNeill, Joey Mormina, Joe Morrow, Dylan Reese, Philip Samuelsson, Carl Sneep and Brian Strait
Goaltenders - Patrick Killeen, Brad Thiessen and Jeff Zatkoff
Camp opens today 27 with players reporting for physicals and meetings. The first on-ice practice will take place on Friday, Sept. 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ice Rink at Coal Street and is open to the public. Sunday's practice on Sept. 29 will feature an intra-squad scrimmage beginning at 10:45 a.m.
Season tickets for the Penguins' 14th season in the American Hockey League are on sale now, and available by calling (570) 208-PENS. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton takes the ice for its Home Opener on Sat, Oct. 20 versus the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m.
