AMARILLO, TX - The Odessa Jackalopes headed into action Sunday against the Amarillo Bulls wrapping up three games in the past three nights. The Jacks spilt the first two contests with the Bulls in Odessa and now had the task of beating the Bulls at the Amarillo Civic Centre, where the Bulls were 17-3-1 coming into the game tonight.

The Jacks got the scoring started at 5:43 on Tate Sykes' 2nd tally of the season. The goal came off of some great pressure by the line of Robb Stautz, Jake Kreutzer, and Chad Guderian. Sykes deposited a rebound past Collin Delia from the left circle to put the Jacks ahead. The Bulls came on after that. Yoshi Kuroiwa was tested on a two-on-one by robbing Brendan McGuire with his glove and stoning Mike Davis on a breakaway. The Bulls would finally tie at 15:42 when Mitchell McPherson banked the puck in off Kuroiwa's stick from behind the net. McPherson's 6th goal of the season left the two teams tied at one after the first period.

In the second, the Bulls pressure was finally too much for the Jacks as Patrick Pollock scored his 3rd goal of the season at 10:30 on a shot from the left circle that changed directions on Kuroiwa. The Bulls took a 2-1 lead into the third.

In the third, the Bulls top-ranked power play went to work and Roman Ammirato scored at 10:40 to give the Bulls some insurance. The Jacks tried to mount a comeback late in the game by pulling Yoshi Kuroiwa, but Brady Ferguson potted his 13th into the empty net at 18:32 to give the Bulls a 4-1 win.

Yoshi Kuroiwa made a season high 46 stops in the losing effort.

The Jacks took one of three games from the Bulls and now prepare for the Wichita Falls Wildcats on Friday, the 31st and Saturday, February 1st from the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls.
