Runners Bull over Brahmas

Topeka Pilots News Release
After a three week break from home, the Runners returned to Topeka looking to extend their four-game winning streak. Make that five games now. Two quick goals at the outset and constant pressure on the Brahma's defense led to another RoadRunners victory 4-1.
Four different Runners tallied goals in the game beginning with Yu Hikosaka, who found the net at 4:36 in the first to give Topeka the early lead. Willie Brown doubled the score to two with his goal just moment later at 5:16 and the home team was off to the races with a 2-0 lead heading into the second.
The lead was stretched to three as Jake Kamrass split the pipes at 5:05 of the second. Lone Star's Conner Enciso would make it 3-1 at 18:14 but that was as close as the Brahmas would get. Michal Uhrik's breakaway netter less than four minutes remaining in regulation would seal the deal and the Runners skated away with their fifth win in a row.
Proving again that he is among the best goaltenders in the league, PJ Bridges notched his 14th victory of the season and lowered his goals against average to a stifling 1.17. The defense also shined, allowing only 18 shots on net for the night
The Runners and Brahmas are back on the ice Sunday night at 7:15pm. Sunday is Washburn Night at Landon Arena. Anyone who produces a Washburn University student ID can purchase a $7 ticket to the game. For more information on tickets to upcoming games, call 785-286-PUCK or visit www.topekaroadrunners.com.
