Springfield, MA – NHL and AHL goaltender Jean-Marc Pelletier, who was named co-MVP of the Springfield Falcons last season, will instruct young netminders at his new goalie school from August 2nd to 5th at Olympia Ice Arena in West Springfield.

Daily sessions during the four-day school will include individual prep time with Jean-Marc, stretching, ice time with drills and breakout workouts, as well as video instructions and visualization. Each participant will also receive a goalie jersey courtesy of Sher-Wood Hockey.

"This will be a camp where your goalie will improve on their general goalie skills and give them the confidence to play like an NHL goalie," said Pelletier.

The cost to attend the Pelletier Goalie School is $150 for members of USA Hockey. There is an additional $30 insurance charge to non-USA Hockey members. It is recommended that participants have at least one year of goaltending experience. All participants must provide their own goalie equipment.

In six professional hockey seasons, Pelletier has compiled a record of 121-101-24, a 2.77 goals against average, and .914 save percentage. Pelletier was the Philadelphia Flyers' first draft choice in the 1997 NHL Draft and was named Most Valuable Player of the 1999 AHL All-Star Classic.
