PEI Rocket Acquire McIsaac & Nestrasil

The PEI Rocket announced a number of trades as the trading period opened this morning at the Annual QMJHL Entry Draft in Drummondville.

The Rocket have acquired 20 year old PEI native, Travis McIsaac (1990-02-20) and 19 year old Czech Republic native, Andrej Nestrasil (1991-02-22) from the Victoriaville Tigres in exchange for Defenseman Vincent Richer, a 3rd, 4th and 8th round pick in 2010 and a 2nd and 3rd round pick in 2011. McIsaac, a Uigg, PEI native is considered one of the best 2 way players in the League and had 57 points and was a +19 with Victoriaville last season. In 2008-2009, Andrej 22 Goals and 35 Assists in 66 games, and in 2009-2010, he had 16 Goals and 35 assists in only 50 games. The 6'2", 200 lb Left Winger is a good friend of Rocket defenseman Adam Polasek, also of the Czech Republic.

The Rocket also announced the acquisition of 18-year old Islander Jordan Moore (1992-05-21), 19-year old Marshall Worden (1991-11-16) and a fourth round pick in 2011 from the Acadie Bathurst Titan in exchange for a 3rd and a 6th round pick in 2011. Moore is an offensive style defenseman and Worden is a hard-nosed winger that isn't afraid to drop the gloves.

The Rocket also sent forward Jeremi Janneteau (1992-06-04) to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for their 8th Round Pick in 2010.

PEI also swapped a couple of draft picks with the Val-d'Or Foreurs to complete the Dylan Capstick trade from last season. PEI sent its 2010 4th round pick to the Forurs in exchange for Val-d'Or`s 4th round pick in 2011.

Finally, the Rocket parted ways with Jean-Phillipe Mathieu, who was traded to the Drummondville Voltigeurs in exchange for the 1st round pick in 2011 which was originally sent to Drummondville in the Cousineau trade early in the 2009-2010 campaign. "Although J.P. was a big part of our team during the past two seasons, we feel we have some depth on defense that allowed us to make this change and get our first round pick back for 2011. We wish JP all the best in Drummondville", said President and Governor, Serge Savard Jr.
