
Pee Dee Cyclones (SPHL) season comes to an end following 6-3 loss at Knoxville on Saturday night

The Pee Dee Cyclones inaugural season in the Southern Professional Hockey League came to an end on Saturday night as the Knoxville Ice Bears defeated Pee Dee 6-3, winning the best of five playoff series 3 games to 1. The Ice Bears move on to the SPHL President's Cup Finals scheduled to begin next weekend.
The Cyclones three goals came from Geoff Rollins with one and Justin Siebold with two. Siebold's second goal of the game at 10:46 of the second period actually gave Pee Dee a 3-2 lead in the game which held up until 15:46 of period two when Knoxville's Nathan Daly tied the game back up. The Ice Bears Jason Bermingham scored the final three goals on the night, including the game winner at 19:44 of the second period. Bermingham tallied five lamp lighters in the game as he also scored the first and second Knoxville goals in the first period.
After Pee Dee won the first game of the playoff series last Friday at the Florence Civic Center, Knoxville roared back to win the next three games to advance to the championship series.
