Rochester RazorSharks News Release

If the Premier Basketball League playoffs began today, Rochester would win the third seed and play a first round best-of-three series against Quebec.

After fighting an uphill battle from a 2-6 start, the RazorSharks have won six of seven games and have technically passed both Saint John and Halifax in the standings. Both the Mill Rats and Rainmen lost by big scores Friday night.

Lawton-Fort Sill (13-2) defeated Halifax (8-7) 110-84. Saint John (7-7) was defeated at Quebec (11-5) 110-90. The RazorSharks (8-7) inch ahead of Mill Rats and own a tiebreaker over the Rainmen. Each team plays a twenty game PBL schedule which concludes before the end of this month.

Rochester is at Kentucky (5-12) on Sunday. The Sharks lost in their only other trip to Georgetown this season. The three games between the teams have been decided by three, four and five points. Rochester hosts the Blue Grass Stallions in their final regular season game March 26.

To add further intrigue to the playoff race, Saint John and Halifax finish the season playing each other. Twice.
